About Book

Heat transfer is the exchange of thermal energy between physical systems, depending on the temperature and pressure, by dissipating heat. Mass transfer is the net movement of mass from one location, usually meaning stream, phase, fraction or component, to another. Heat transfer and mass transfer are kinetic processes that may occur and be studied separately or jointly. Studying them apart is simpler, but both processes are modelled by similar mathematical equations in the case of diffusion and convection and it is thus more efficient to consider them jointly. Besides, heat and mass transfer must be jointly considered in some cases like evaporative cooling and ablation. Typical heat-transfer devices are heat exchangers, condensers, boilers, solar collectors, heaters and furnaces. This book unfolds the innovative aspects of heat transfer which will be crucial for the holistic understanding of the subject of heat transfer. It deals with nanofluids, cross-diffusion effects, absorption, bivariate, fluid flows, micropolar fluid, chemical reaction, manufacturing processes, heat exchangers, climate control and casson fluid. It is designed in such a way that it provides a detailed explanation of the various concepts and applications of this subject matter. The aim of this book is to make the complex subject of heat transfer easy to comprehend and understand. The topics included in this area of utmost significance and bound to provide incredible insights to readers. The various applications along with technological progress that have future implications are glanced at in it. It will greatly assist students in the fields of chemical engineering kinetics and computational modelling.
