About Book

Computational fluid dynamics is a branch of fluid mechanics that uses numerical analysis and algorithms to solve and analyse problems that involve fluid flows. Computers are used to perform the calculations required to simulate the interaction of liquids and gases with surfaces defined by boundary conditions. Computational Fluid dynamics has a wide range of applications, including calculating forces and moments on aircraft, determining the mass flow rate of petroleum through pipelines, predicting weather patterns, understanding nebulae in interstellar space and modelling fission weapon detonation. Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) is the intersection of three main disciplines: Fluid Dynamics, Computational Methods, and Numerical Algorithms. It is an essential ingredient in the modern engineering of stable aerodynamic, hemodynamic and hydraulic systems, as it has the capability to predict the flow motions for a specific system design, but also enables the researcher the opportunity to study the system's reaction to additional sets of physical conditions. This book elucidates new techniques and the applications in the field of computational fluid dynamics in a multidisciplinary approach. It elaborates on the different theories and concepts related to this area. It deals with model of flow, coupling algorithm of computational fluid, CFD modelling, CFD analysis, CFD simulations, CFD applications, heat transfer and particle dynamics. Different approaches, evaluations and methodologies have been included in this book. Coherent flow of topics, student- friendly language and extensive use of examples make this book an invaluable source of knowledge. In this book, effort has been made to present the explanation in various methods, easy and simple way. It will serve as a valuable source of reference for those interested in this field.
